Security profile
In order to meet high security requirements, HelseID uses a profile of the technical protocols that have been specially designed for use in high-risk domains such as the healthcare sector. After familiarizing yourself with the technical protocols, you must also read through the security profile and note the technical requirements it places on you as a third-party supplier.
Networks
HelseID is available both on the Internet and on Helsenett (the health care sector's separate network). If you want to develop towards HelseID, it is essential that you understand how the physical infrastructure is set up, both in the test and production environments. Much of the functionality of HelseID depends on DNS, firewalls, and root certificates being configured correctly.
