Sharing EHR according to norwegian XDS.b-profile

This content is mainly intended for EHR-vendor who want to participate in electronical health records sharing in Norway. Document Source Service enables option to share electronical health records between all members of Norsk helsenett, in addition to provide access for norwegian citizens through national portal helsenorge.no

Each EHR-vendor can decide EHRs should be shared by using NHN's document source service or by establishing vendors own infrastructure for providing document repository.

Norsk helsenett recommends usage of "document source service"

NHN Document Source Service contains:

  • REST-API for uploading of EHR to document source service (IHE MHDS)

  • Document source service hosted in Norsk helsenett's infrastructure

  • REST-API for log retrieval (IHE RESTful ATNA)

  • EHR will be available both for healthcare personnel and citizens through PJD API (IHE MHDS)

Integrating EHR-vendor's infrastructure:

  • EHR-vendor can establish vendors own solution by following IHE XDS-profile specification and integrating to national XCA-service (IHE XCA)

You can always contact us in our Slack-channel #ext-nhn-pasientens-journaldokumenter. This is open dicussion channel for NHN-team and other vendors who participate in EHR-sharing. If your company doesn't use NHNs Slack yet, you can contact our NHNs customer service for adding your company into Slack-channel.

For EHR-vendors: sourcecode to XcaDocumentSource

Our solution for "Document Source Service" was created by modification of our own demo-sourcecode (.NET based) for EHR-vendors which is also available as public GitHub-repository.
