Getting Started with the Statistikk API

Overview

The Getting Started guide will help you understand how to begin using the Statistikk API, including setting up your environment, making your first requests, and understanding the basic concepts.

Prerequisites

Helse ID

To access the Statistikk API, you need to create a Helse ID client. Recipes on how to create such a client can be found here Helse ID documentation. You want to follow the instructions for the second usage pattern, "I want to consume a REST API that doesn't require user login".

Calling the endpoints

Raw data endpoint

The raw data endpoint is available at:

/api/v1/raw-statistics/raw-statistics-events

It has the following query parameters:

• fromEpoch - The start date for the data you want to retrieve given as an epoch timestamp in seconds (UTC). If you want to retrieve data from 1.1.2026 00:00:00 UTC, you would use fromEpoch=1767225600.
• toEpoch - The end date for the data you want to retrieve given as epoch in seconds (UTC). If you want to retrieve data to 1.1.2026 00:00:00 UTC, you would use toEpoch=1767225600.
• serviceId - The ID of the service for which you want to retrieve data. A service mapping table will be provided in the future.

Interpreting the data

The data returned from the raw data endpoint is described by the different services. A mapping table will be provided in the future to help you interpret the data returned from the endpoint.
