Creating/migrating different organisation types in production

SFM is used by many different types of organizations and healthcare personnel within these different organizations. It is therefore important that the EPJ vendors are familiar with different types of organizations and create or migrate these correctly when SFM is put into use. The following organization types are defined in SFM:

1. PLO

2. Sykehus

3. Fastlege

4. Legevakt

5. Helsestasjon

6. Tannlege

7. Helsehus

8. Spesialist

9. Annet (har kode 99)

In most cases, the vendor will easily choose the right organization type for the current organization.

It is important to clarify whether there are more than one organization types that share the same database (same Journal) and whether they are represented at the top level, or whether they are a subunit of another organisation. SFM is built to have the flexibility to be able to handle several variants with a shared database, but can also support the fact that the same main organisation has different databases for different organisation types.

If there is uncertainty related to the categorization of organisation, the supplier is requested to contact NHN.

When creating an sfm-organization, the "type" of organization will control the default values to be set for different configuration paramenters. I.e whether a Resept should be created by default when the user prescribes a treatment. The table below summarizes the different default values to be set for the different organisation types:
